In Progress, the first full-length, full-production release by performing songwriter Robin Renée, finds the artist, as the title suggests, in the midst. In the fall of 1999, Robin Renée was introduced to producer Jayar, who has worked with the likes of Chaka Khan, George Benson, and McFadden & Whitehead, among others and, along with engineer James Forbes, their work together resulted in thirteen tracks of polished, thoughtful pop.Though his background was firmly placed in R&B music, he was taken by the honesty and strength of Robin's rock-based material.
