"My artistic
will became apparent at the age of five when, much to
my mother's dismay, I traded my new tap dance shoes
for a box of Crayola Crayons. The joy of creating art
has remained a life long endeavor. People are my passion
for they tell the story. I approach each subject with
senitivity and reverence, striving to paint their truth.
Sexual orientation is not my focus, but rather the fundamental
honesty and beauty of humanity. For the past years I
have worked continuously and dauntlessly, never apologetically.
I am steadily on the job so that I might find myself
at the easel, brush in hand, when the great moment does
arrive. There has been no end of surprises and delight,
nor the need for stamina and courage. Beginnings have
out numbered endings. My teachers have been many, materials
varied. I belong to no school and will not adhere to
any technique. Vincent Van Gogh said he wanted to make
art that touches some people. That is my goal as well.
Sexual Orientation is not my focus, but rather the fundamental
honesty and beauty of humanity. People are my passion
for they tell the story. I approach each subject with
sensitivity and reverence, striving to paint the truth.
